Define and check custom events
In Settings > Data > Events, you can view the actions FROGED receives from your website or application. You need Data model permission and a plan that supports custom events to edit them. System events are read-only.
Create an event
- Click Create event and enter a unique name of up to 50 characters. Start with a letter, _ or $; subsequent characters can also include numbers. The on_ prefix is reserved.
- Add a description and choose how the event is recorded.
- Define the event data, without repeating names, and the type of each field.
- Save and test reception from a test website or application.
The name cannot be changed after the event is created.
How it is recorded
- From your code: use View code to obtain an example SDK call. Replace example values with real data from your application.
- Page visit: enter the corresponding URL or pattern. The panel's help supports * as a wildcard, and a url field is added if missing.
- Click on an element: enter a valid CSS selector, such as #comprar.
- Element visible while scrolling: use a CSS selector for the element to observe.
Saving the definition does not prove that the widget is installed or that the event arrives correctly. Check installation, permissions, selector and sent data. Before deleting a definition, review the segments and integrations that depend on it.
