Work with FROGED in Salesforce

FROGED offers the option to connect and synchronise the Salesforce application to share customer data and communications between the two applications. In addition, a FROGED pop-up window can be set up within Salesforce to work with both tools at the same time without leaving Salesforce.

This is very useful to work communications from FROGED while updating and logging all customer data in Salesforce in real time: phone calls, sending emails, sending WhatsApps...

Install FROGED in Salesforce

Before starting this installation you must connect the Salesforce application in FROGED in Settings<Integrations:

After this, complete the following steps in the Salesforce account:
  1. Access the settings menu at the top and select the ‘Setup’ option.

  2. From the ‘Home’ tab, find the ‘Feature Settings’ section in the side menu and select ‘Call Centers’. To speed up the search, use the search engine in the side menu.

  3. In the ‘All Call Centers’ table, select “Import” and upload the following file:
    Froged_Salesforce_CTI.xml

  4. Once the Call Center is created, access it in the table, select the ‘Manage Call Center Users’ button and add the users that will have access.

  5. Again from the ‘Home’ tab, find the ‘Trusted URLs’ section in the side menu and select the ‘New Trusted URL’ button. To speed up the search, use the search engine in the side menu.

  6. Complete the following sections with this information:
    • API Name: FROGED CTI
    • URL: https://beta.froged.com
    • CSP Directives: enable all
    • Select the ‘Save’ button at the top to finish

  7. Again from the “Home” tab, find the ‘App Manager’ section of the side menu and select ‘Edit’ of the service where you want to activate the Call Centre (you can choose the one you want, e.g. Service Console).

  8. Select the ‘Utility Items’ section of the side menu, click on the ‘Add Utility Item’ button and look for the ‘Open CTI Softphone’ option.

  9. Configure and customise the FROGED window within Salesforce. We recommend using the following information and steps:

  10. When saving the FROGED window configuration it is necessary to access the service where the window has been enabled to check that it loads correctly (in the example case it is Service Console). Select the applications menu at the top and look for the corresponding service.

  11. At this point you should contact the FROGED support team to share the URL of the Salesforce space. We will add this domain in the call provider to finalise the configuration. When the process is complete we will notify you to start using FROGED without limits within Salesforce.

In order for the tools to synchronise and be used at the same time, the user needs to be logged in to Salesforce and logged in to FROGED, in a workspace with the Salesforce application installed.

As seen in the image below, the FROGED window opens from a tab at the bottom left and can be minimized when not in use.
