FROGED allows you to connect your Salesforce account to sync your customer data. FROGED users and communications are automatically registered in the Salesforce app, only at this address.

What does sync do?
  • Communications with existing customers are automatically logged in Salesforce when conversations are closed.
  • Communications with new customers are automatically logged in Salesforce when conversations are closed by creating the new contact.
  • Communications with customers associated with new companies are automatically logged into Salesforce when conversations are closed by creating the new account or company.

What are the benefits of Salesforce integration?
  • Keep Salesforce contacts in sync with FROGED contacts automatically.
  • Record customer communications in one place.
  • Reduce query times in both applications.

What do you need to install Salesforce?
  • Your FROGED subscription must include Salesforce integration.
  • A FROGED account with permission to manage application integration.
  • A Salesforce account with administrator permissions.



Install Salesforce application

Before starting the installation you must create a connected application in Salesforce in order for FROGED to be able to send information to this service.

Complete the following steps in your Salesforce account:
  1. Access the settings menu at the top and select the ‘Setup’ option.



  2. From the top ‘Home’ tab, find the ‘Apps’ section of the side menu and select ‘App Manager’.



  3. Press the ‘New Connected App’ button at the top right and then tick the first option in the pop-up window.



  4. Next, a new view is opened with all the data that needs to be added about the new application, in this case FROGED:
    • Connected App Name
    • API Name
    • Contact Email



  5. In the ‘API’section:
    • Check the first option ‘Enable 0Auth Settings’.
    • Add in the ‘Callback URL’ field this link:
      https://api.froged.com/extensions/salesforce/oauth2/callback
    • Add in the right column ‘Selected 0Auth Scopes’these 2 permissions:
      • Manage user data via APIs (api)
      • Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
    • Uncheck all the options in the rest of the list.



  6. Finish the process by clicking on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
Once the application has been created in your Salesforce account, all that remains is to configure and install the app in FROGED. To do this, go to the integrations view in the settings and click on the ‘Install’ button on the Salesforce card.



A window opens with 3 fields to be filled in with your Salesforce credentials:
  • Consumer Key
  • Consumer Secret
  • Instance URL



Where to find the credentials in Salesforce?
  1. Go to the settings menu at the top and select the ‘Setup’ option.



  2. From the ‘Home’ tab, find the ‘Apps’ section of the side menu and select ‘App Manager’.



  3. Find ‘FROGED plugin’ in the list of applications and select ‘View’ from the drop-down menu on the right.



  4. Once inside, in the ‘API’ section, select the ‘Manage Customer Details’ button.



  5. Here you can copy the data for the integration into the ‘Consumer Details’ section:
    • Consumer Key
    • Consumer Secret



  6. The last piece of information ‘Instance URL’ can be found in the avatar in the top right corner. Make sure your URL starts with https://.


When you have all the Salesforce data, you add it to the integration window and click on the ‘Install’ button. Then the Salesforce registration opens to log in with your administrator account to complete the process.



When you return to the FROGED application, the installation is successfully completed.



Set up Salesforce integration

When the Salesforce application is connected to FROGED, in the integrations view you can access the settings.



You have 2 options available to configure the data sync:
  • Sync users: if a new user starts conversation in FROGED, a new contact is created in Salesforce.
  • Sync companies: if a user associated with a new company starts a conversation in FROGED, a new company is created in Salesforce (account).



In case you need to remove or disconnect the Salesforce app from FROGED, click on the ‘Remove integration’ button in the top right corner. Remember that if you remove the integration, you will need to complete the whole process again to reinstall it.
