Create a WhatsApp campaign template
To send a WhatsApp campaign to customers, it is necessary to use approved templates for business use. The same applies when sending any message or communication to a contact.
Before templates can be created in FROGED, they must be created and approved in the WhatsApp administrator, Twilio. To learn more about this process, see the article Create WhatsApp templates in Twilio.
A new template is created from the template list (within campaigns) by clicking on the ‘Create template’ button. Then select the corresponding channel, in this case WhatsApp.

- Select an approved template in Twilio.
The table provides some information about the templates to help you identify them: name, ID, content, last edited in the administrator... For a quicker search, you can enter the name or parts of the content in the search field at the top of the page. - Customise the content.
The content of the template appears on the left-hand side. You can only edit the variables that come with the selected template, assigning each one to a FROGED attribute. Once you have selected the attributes (if any), at the bottom you can add alternative values that are sent instead of the attribute if it is empty (depending on the information saved for the contact).
On the right side you can see the preview of the template (in real time) on the different devices where you can install the WhatsApp application to visualise what the client will receive. - Add the name of the template.
Enter a clear and simple name to quickly identify the template in the list. In addition, an optional label can be assigned to classify the templates.
Search for WhatsApp campaign templates
In the section of all FROGED campaign templates, you can filter by WhatsApp channel to display only templates for this channel. In addition, you can enter text from the name and content of the template in the search engine to speed up the search.

Edit a template for WhatsApp campaigns
A click on a template opens the preview on different devices and displays all the related information: creator, date, metrics, tags...

To edit a WhatsApp template, select the ‘edit’ option from the options menu. Only the attributes of the variables, alternative values and the name of the template can be modified.
To delete a template the process is the same, select ‘delete’ from the options menu. Remember that if a WhatsApp template is deleted it cannot be recovered for future campaigns, you will need to create it again.
